It was a war between her and her eyes. She wouldn't let them shut. It was only once in what felt like eternity that she get to talk to him and she will never let it go. She loves what that one text message from him would do to her body, to her mind and to her soul. But the next one kind of broke her heart - "Good night".
"Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow" she replied.
"You've been reading too much Shakespeare, Ms. Geek", he chided and drifted off to the peaceful sleep that awaited him. Miles away, she sighed with the knowledge that another sleepless night awaited her. Parting was indeed such sweet sorrow for her, but the good night was not until morrow or the day after. It would be another eternity until another conversation is striked.
"What's so special about him?"
"He is the most beautiful rose in the most beautiful garden."
"Why don't you tell him what you feel? You both talk about everything under the sun anyway. So why hide this?"
"Once you pick the flower, then it's only a matter of time before it's dead!"
